Construction Law - LeBlanc Bland has extensive experience and has developed particular expertise with respect to construction contracts, with particular emphasis upon marine-oriented and oil and gas related projects. Commercial Litigation - LeBlanc Bland handles all aspects of commercial litigation, including claims and disputes arising from sales, leases, assignments, and other contractual undertakings; insurance coverage disputes; and financing structures and arrangements.
Admiralty and Maritime - LeBlanc Bland handles a full range of of admiralty and maritime-related matters, including blue water and brown water disputes, the defense of Jones Act, Longshore and Harborworker's Act and general maritime claims, and shipyard and vessel operations. The Firm also represents clients in connection with all aspects of marine contract negotiation and vessel financing.
Oil and Gas - LeBlanc Bland represents clients in connection with a broad range of oil and gas operations, including the negotiation and drafting of oilfield contracts; the handling of disputes relating to mineral leases, assignments, joint operating agreements, asset purchases and sales and other oilfield-related agreements; and litigation arising from these undertakings and operations, including landowner claims for environmental contamination from oilfield practices.
Toxic Tort and Environmental - LeBlanc Bland has represented clients in connection with all major federal environmental laws and regulations, and with related State requirements in Texas and Louisiana, including the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, CERCLA and the SARA amendments, RCRA and the HSWA amendments, TSCA, the Safe Drinking Water Act, EPCRA, OPA 90, wetlands regulations, and ocean dumping. This has included the handling of permit applications, the defense of enforcement actions and environmental claims, and the defense of toxic tort claims arising from environmental and workplace exposures.
